Rounding out Dragon Lord Week over at Drink Read Love was something that even my fertile imagination never suspected. My book has been reviewed by an actual cat! I don't know about you, but as fickle as cats can be, I'm thrilled. And Bagheera was a brilliant cat. This goes a long way to overcoming the trauma of being mauled by another cat who shall remain nameless (and which never met Bagheera).
I must admit Baggy-boo is right in the criticism that there is a woeful lack of mice in The Dragon Lord Chronicles. I have no excuse, but I will note that there are a handful of other things that cats like to play with scattered throughout. Since the series is set in medieval Scotland, there is also a dearth of laser pointers.
Drink Read Love is a blog pairing books + drinks. "Grab a drink and a book and get ready to read." Bagheera generally pairs milk with every book.
Full disclosure: The author of the referenced blog was my daughter's (now deceased) cat, but Esther would not have published Bagheera's review if she did not think these books worthy of reading on their own merits. If I didn't trust Bagheera's and Esther'sobjectivity, I would not link to the review. Life is too short for such shenanigans.
RIP, Baggy. You were a most excellent cat.
